Greater Christian Fellowship Church
Early in 1959, Sis. S. Jennings made the suggestion that a prayer band be organized. Members went from home to home each week, singing, praying, and teaching God's word. In the early fall of 1959, Sis. Jennings suggested that a formal church should be organized.
A building was rented and converted into a church building. On Sunday, November 8, 1959, Christian Fellowship Baptist Church was established with Rev. H.Y. Young as Pastor; and J.M. Pierott and L. L. Mackey serving as Deacons
In July 1981 Rev. L.D. Thomlinson was called to pastor Greater Christian Fellowship Church Houston. At that time we did not know what a dynamic, caring, and anointed pastor he would become. Over the years Pastor Thomlinson has spiritually grown, along with our church
Co-Pastor "V" tirelessly works alongside her husband of 20+ years. Her charismatic preaching style is uniquely her own. She has an uncanny ability to speak the truth in LOVE, while sharing from the depths of her own heart with a realness that appeals to believers and un-believers alike
